Today, morning we will ready after your breakfast to head on for our relaxing guided day trip to world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley and visit the highlights of Kathmandu and the surrounding areas. We take you to visit the pilgrimage sites of Hindus temple Pashupatinath, one of the most important shrine of Shiva temples on the subcontinent which is place of thousand of devotees, Saddhus (holy men/Baba), and can be seen the cremating body most of the times in the holy riverbank of Bagmati. Hundreds of monkeys are giggling with you and take a time to exploring surrounding area and visit Bouddhanath stupa an another pilgrimage centre which is most popular and important place for Buddhist. You can explore with rounding prayer wheel and flattering colorful flag with melodious chanting noise. After your lunch at Bouddha visit Swoyambhunath stupa also known as monkey temple covering wide range of area with highest point of Kathmandu valley and enjoy the 360 degrees of valley view. After exploring the surrounding areas visit to Kathmandu Durbar Square which is old royal palace of Kathmandu and can be seen lot of temple, architectures and Kumari (living goddess) and walk in a freak street and late afternoon back to hotel and evening briefing about your trip, what is your responsibility, what to do and does not in the trek? Introduce with our fellow trekking staff and chances to ask remaining question and simply relax at the hotel.
Driver to Pokhara in 7 hrs ( or 22 min flight). We take early morning tourist bus (or possible to take morning or day flight). Overnight at hotel.
Early morning we are flying North west from Pokhara toward the great portal between the snow covered peaks of Annapurna and Daulagiri. You will enjoy the well-raised massifs of more than 8000 meters, and the deepest gorge on this planet. On arrival to Jomsom you will meet the rest of the trekking staff, there will be a guide with you from Kathmandu, and we will walk to Kagbeni, the main gate to Upper Mustang. Overnight at tea house lodge.
The trail leads up towards the east bank of the Kaligandaki climbing over many ridges as it heads north and reaches Tangbe village. The town is a labyrinth of narrow alleys amongst white washed houses, fields of buckwheat, barley, wheat and apple orchards. The Nilgiri peak, dominates the southern skyline of Kagbeni, will be enjoyed all the way by different shapes. Beyond Tangbe we reach Chhusang village in about 1/2 hrs trek and crosses the river and continues north climbing up to a huge red chunk of conglomerate that has fallen from the cliff above, forming a tunnel which the Kaligandaki follows. The trek now leaves the Kali Gandaki valley and climbs steeply up a rocky gully to Chaile. From here the culture changes from the Manangi culture to the Tibetan culture of Lo. Overnight at tea house lodge.
The climb continues along steep, treeless, water less terrain, along the side of the spectacular steep canyon to a pass and cairn of rock. Then the trail makes a long gradual descent to some Chortens on a ridge, and then descends further on a pleasant trail to Samar village. We climb above Samar to a ridge, then descend into a large gorge which the trail goes into another valley field, crosses a stream and climbs up to a ridge at 3800 meters. The route climbs over yet another pass, follows a ridge and then descends to Shyangmochen. Overnight at tea house lodge.
After the breakfast we gently climb to a pass at 3770 meters and descend to Geling Village. From Geling village the trail climbs gently up to an interesting pass Nyi La and descends below the blue, gray and red cliffs then you reached at Ghami village. After crossing a steel bridge of the Tangmar Chu (river) you will arrive to a Mani Wall perhaps the longest and most spectacular MANI wall in Nepal. You continue walk to Dhakmar. Overnight at tea house lodge.
This is an opportunity to visit oldest and beautiful Ghar Gumba is older than Samye Gompa in Tibet and one of the oldest Gompa of Nepal. After visiting Ghar Gompa we climb up to Marang La (4230m), you can see beautiful views of Mustang valley and continue trek to Lomanthang. The trail until Lo-Manthang is fine with some minor climbing. Finally from a ridge there is a view of the walled city of LO. After a short descent, cross a stream then climb up into the plateau of Lo-Manthang. Overnight at teahouse lodge
Visit Namgyal Gompa and Tingkhar. It takes around 2 hours to Namgyal Gompa. Namgyal Gompa situates on a hilltop, which serves as an important monastery of the local community and also as a local court. After visiting Namgyal Gompa continue the tour to Tingkhar, which is a village of around 40 houses, the last main village to the northwest of Lomanthang. After visiting Namgyal Gompa and Tingkhar return to Lomanthang. Overnight at tea hosue lodge.
Lo-Manthang the trail walks straight till Dhi pass 4100 meters and descends down to Dhi village. The trek from Lo Manthang to Muktinath is harder, but more rewarding and interesting than the west side of the valley. Dhi village is one of the best villages of whole Lo-mathang and it seems more prosperous and it is settled in a very suitable place. We continue to Yara village. Overnight at tea house lodge.
We need to cross a river from Damodar Kunda one the sacred lake. There is no bridge on the Ghechang River, so we need to walk across the river in bare feet to cross this river. After crossing the river, the trail climbs up till high above a pass of 3850m, the trails goes through grasslands, treeless bare hill. After the pass the trail drops directly to Tange village at an elevation of 3340m. Tange is small village with around 30 houses but most of the houses are attached each other. On the roofs, one can see the piles of dry woods, which also reflect the prosperity in their society. Overnight at tented camp.
Walking several up and down, narrow trails, crumbing ways continue descending to Yak Kharka. Overnight at tented camp.
Trek to Sameena Khola in about 5/6 hrs. Overnight at tented camp.
An easy gradual climbing towards the high camp. Overnight at tented camp.
We take one day rest before we trek to high camp. Overnight at tented camp.
Ascending to the High camp and rest in the afternoon. Overnight at tented camp.
Today is the most important ascend day on Teri la Pass. We start early up morning with balancing our body, summit the Teri La at 5595m from where you can superb views the Annapurnas & Chulu mountains & Teri La Peak, Purtun Himal region. Then descend to our camp at Teri La Phedi. Overnight at tented camp.
Today we walk continue up to Labse khola passing a number of side valleys. We set up our camp near the River. Overnight at tented camp.
We continue descend to Yak Kharka along the Labse Khola. Overnight at tented camp.
After breakfast we climb towards the Nar Pass (5400m) and descend to the Loang. Overnight at tented camp.
Another day gradual climb over the Phu Pass (5050m). and long way down to Phu Gaon (4080m). Overnight at tented camp.
Today Trek to Meta village with pack Lunch and It is 5/6 hrs walk via desert area and Typical local village of Kyang and Chyakhu village where people don’t live whole months. The trail is gradual up and downhill to Phu village. You can see mountains of Annapurna ranges. Overnight at tented camp.
Today we exit the restricted area of Narphu valley. Following the Nar Khola and Greenland forest .The trail is adventurous with rocky trail and long walk down to Koto. It takes 6 hours walking. Overnight at tented camp.
Early morning we take local Jeep to Beshisahar and same day we will continue drive back to Kathmandu with private van/car. Overnight at hotel.

We will be staying at 2/3 star hotel in Kathmandu, and in tea-houses during the trek. All rooms are on twin-shared basis. Single bedroom will be arranged on request and will cost additional. Utmost Adventure will arrange rooms with attached washrooms; however, tea-houses at most places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. While trekking through remote area and during climbing we will arrange tented basis accommodation as well as shower tent, bathroom tent, kitchen tent and dining tent.
In Kathmandu, breakfast will be available. All meals will be provided during climbing including tea, coffee prepared by our cook. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners taking place for guests. While on trek, we have breakfast and dinner in the camp where we spend the night and lunch on our way to next destination. Authentic Nepalese, Tibetan, continental meals are common choices in the menu.
Everest High Passes trek is a moderate trek. Travelers who can walk up to 5-6 hours a day on an uphill and downhill trail will consider this trip fulfilling and enjoyable. It is a good idea to prepare for the trek by jogging and exercising regularly at least for a month prior to the start. Trekking to the Everest High Passes should be relatively moderate for those who have experience in walking/trekking in high altitudes. Determination, good physical health, positive attitude and average physical fitness are good preconditions for a successful accomplishment of the trek. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases should inform Utmost Adventure before booking the trek.
The best time for trekking to Upper Mustang with Teri La pass trek is during spring (March to May) and autumn (August to November). The temperature is moderate and guarantees amazing views throughout the trip.
