The trek rewards the adventurous with an unparalleled alpine experience, Manaslu opened in 1992 and Tsum valley in 2008. This area offers a combination of rich cultural heritage, unsurpassed beauty and biological diversity.
The trek ascends the Gandaki River valley, which is fed by many rivers and waterfalls, offering the chance of a plunge into some bathing pools. The strenuous section begins from here. Yaks begin to outnumber people in the rocky landscape. Tsum valley recently opened for trekking which was restricted before. The Valley stands with majestic backdrop of the Baudha Himal, Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal and other mountain ranges. It has a long history of Buddhism. The legend believed that Milarepa mediated in the caves of mountain. In Samagoan (3450m) we visit the glacial green lake of Birendra before crossing into mystic Samdo, 15km from the Tibetan border. Here Tibetan monks inhabit sacred monasteries and combined with the views of the Tibetan plateau against stark white Himalayas. This is a truly spiritual place. The biggest challenge then awaits – crossing the snow bound Larkya La pass (5213m). As we cross, we see snow-covered peaks over 6500m towers above. While descending, once off the snow takes us through alpine then tropical areas, bursting with ferns, bamboo, pine trees, waterfalls and aqua-blue green lakes laced with cotton-white beaches. Finally, Manaslu will disappear as we descend to Beshishar (832m.) This 3 weeks excursion will leave you with a sense of peace and respect for the people of Nepal and its ecological wonders.

We will be staying at 2/3 star hotel in Kathmandu, and in tea-houses during the trek. All rooms are on twin-shared basis. Single bedroom will be arranged on request and will cost additional. Fourteen Summit will arrange rooms with attached washrooms; however, tea-houses at some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and in trekking regions at lower elevation but it might be difficult to find them at higher altitude.
All meals will be provided during trekking (On demand, we can arrange only breakfast during the trek and trekkers can order lunch and dinner individually from the tea-house menu). In Kathmandu, breakfast will be available. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners taking place for guests. While on trek, we have breakfast and dinner in the tea-houses/lodges where we spend the night and lunch on our way to next destination. Authentic Nepalese, Tibetan, continental meals and Indian cuisine are common choices in the menu.
