Accommodation:

We will be staying at 2/3 star hotel in Kathmandu, and in tea-houses during the trek. All rooms are on twin-shared basis. Single bedroom will be arranged on request and will cost additional. Utmost Adventure will arrange rooms with attached washrooms in Tibet; however, guesthouse at some places only has shared washing and toilet facilities. Also note that single rooms are readily available in Kathmandu and in Tibet regions during the driving tour.

Meals:

All meals will be provided on bed and breakfast basis during tour. Lunch at local restaurants can be arranged but you have to manage dinner on your own from plethora of restaurants available. There will also be welcome or farewell dinners taking place for guests. Authentic Tibetan and Continental meals are common choices in the Tibetan menu.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements:

Tibet Cultural Tour is an easy tour. Travelers who can sit 5-6 hours a day on an uphill and downhill drive will consider this trip fulfilling and enjoyable. It is a good idea to prepare for the tour by jogging and exercising regularly at least for a month prior undertaking the trip. Touring in Tibet should be relatively easy for those who have experience in trekking in high altitudes. Determination, good physical health and positive attitude are good preconditions for a successful accomplishment of the trek. Past hiking experience in high altitude would definitely be an asset but no particular technical skills are required for this trip. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases should inform Utmost Adventure before booking the trip for their own safety reasons.

The best time for Tibet cultural tour is during Autumn, Spring, Summer (February to December) and The temperature is moderate and guarantees amazing views throughout the trip.

Our staff will pick up from your hotel in Kathmandu in the morning and then we will drive along small mountain road to the border at Nepalese side; on the way you can enjoy the waterfall, river, gorges, and forest. Finally, we will arrive at the border (Nepal Side). Overnight at Guesthouse.

You will start your tour at around 9am from your hotel and visit Tashi Lhunpo monastery which is the seat of the Penchen Lama and it is the largest Gelukpamonatery in the western Tibet, known as Tsang region.
