Temba Bhote, mainly known as the Himalayan Sherpa, a mountain man from the Makalu region, is one of Nepal’s foremost high-altitude mountaineers and expedition leaders. During his 21 years span of mountaineering experience, Temba led more than 22 successful expeditions on 8000-meter Mountains. Apart from his nine times on the Top of the world, the most significant summits were winter K2 and Winter Naga Parbat Rupa Face. Safety first is his tagline. His exceptional understanding of mountain climate and exact judgment in choosing a perfect mountain summit weather conditions, and his gentle leadership skills will leave his clients with remarkable experience by the end of every adventure.
Despite his playing safe game rule, Temba has been one of the most successful Himalayan climbers in Nepal history. As a member of Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) and Nepal National Mountain Guide Association (NNMGA), he conducts training workshops in his free time. His perseverance and hard work have become an inspirational metaphor for his audiences.

Temba was born in 1979 and now lives in Kathmandu, Nepal, with his family. He has established 14 SUMMITS Adventure Company and conducts extreme high altitude mountaineering expeditions in the Himalayas of Nepal, India and Pakistan. In May 2022, he made his 9th summit of Mt Everest (8848m), the first team to reach the season’s summit after the rope-fixing group. He is also available for assignments across the globe upon prior request.
