Mount Himlung Himal (7126m) is located between Annapurna and Manaslu range. Himlung expedition will take you through remote villages of Nar and Phu, unique Himalayan culture and beautiful landscape. It’s open since 1992, just few expedition team have been succeeded to climb Himlung. We will established Base camp at the height of 4950m then three more camps (Camp I 5400m, Camp 2 – 6050m and Camp 3 – 6350m) will be established to reach the summit.
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu (1300m) and transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02: Preparing expedition in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03: Expedition briefing in tourism department. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Drive from Kathmandu-Beshisahar (760m). Overnight at hotel.
Day 05: Beshisahar to Dharapani (1900m) by local Jeep. Overnight at teahouse lodge.
Day 06: Dharapani – Koto (2600m). Overnight at teahouse lodge.
Day 07: Koto to Daramsala (3200m). Overnight at camping.
Day 08: Daramsala – Phu Khola (3800m). Overnight at camping.
Day 09: Phu Khola to Phugaun (4400m). Overnight at camping.
Day 10: Phugaun-Himlung BC (4950m). Overnight at camping.
Day 11-29: Climbing Mt. Himlung 7,126m. Overnight at camping.
Day 30: Base camp – Phu Goan ((4400m). Overnight at camping.
Day 31: Phugaun to Dharmasala (3200m). Overnight at camping.
Day 32: Dharmasal to Koto / Chame (2650m). Overnight at teahouse lodge.
Day 33: Chame to Beshisahar by local jeep. Overnight at lodge.
Day 34: Drive to Kathmandu and transfer to hotel

We will be staying at 2/3 star hotel in Kathmandu, and in tea-houses during the trek. All rooms are on twin-shared basis. Single bedroom will be arranged on request and will cost additional. Utmost Adventure will arrange rooms with attached washrooms; however, tea-houses at some places only have shared washing and toilet facilities. While climbing there will be full board camping trip, we will provide twin-shared basis tent, mattress and sleeping bag.
All meals will be provided during the camping trekking (We will provide breakfast, lunch and dinner with tea/coffee). In Kathmandu, breakfast will be available. There will also be welcome and farewell dinners taking place for guests. While on trek, we have breakfast and dinner in the camping, where we spend the night and pack lunch on our way to next destination.
Physical Condition & Experience Requirements
Himlung Expedition is a strenuous climbing. Climbers who can walk/climb up to 6-7 hours a day on an uphill and downhill trail and basic climbing skills will consider this trip fulfilling and enjoyable. It is a good idea to prepare for the Himlung Expedition by jogging and exercising regularly at least for a month prior to the start. Climbing Mount Himlung should be relatively fine for those who have experience in climbing/trekking in high altitudes. Determination, good physical health, positive attitude and average physical fitness are good preconditions for a successful accomplishment of the climbing. Past climbing and hiking experience would be an asset but no technical skills are required for this trip. Participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung, and blood diseases should inform Utmost Adventure before booking the trek.

Personal Climbing gear:
Harness: A climbing harness should be lightweight and fully adjustable. Easy to put on and take off.
Ice axe: General mountaineering axe. Should be light and easy to use.
Crampons: It must fit boot perfectly and lighter is better.
Carabineers: Two large locking “pear” shaped 4 regular mountaineering carabineers
Prussik cord: You can use in many situation, carry couple more.
Ascenders: One left or right hand orientation, does not matter (Petzl)
Rappel device: Figure 8, ATC or similar. Very important to devices for descending.
Ascender / Jhumar: Must be comfortable to be use with gloves.
Helmet: It is very important to use while crossing areas through rock fall, ice cliff. Better light weight.
Walking pool: Adjustable types are the best, it will be very much helpful while walking through snow field or rocky trail.
